39 days, 18 castaways, 1 Tyson!


So the game has begun. Pretty exciting shit. The Check Ins thread was a nightmare to watch in the 24 hours between signing up and getting our tribes. Pointless posts about confirmation emails, Todd's gender and Sonja's vagina frustrated me. Pre-game chatter is a part of the game, but due to the fact no one has our aim, I thought I could finally avoid it. Wrong. These asshats still decided they needed to post. I had already written down three names of people I would avoid because they were the main contributors to this tomfoolery. The three were Sonja, Lindsey and Joe.

Guess who is on my tribe? All three of them. Awesome.

Now its the first day so who am I to write them off. Sonja actually seems like a pretty cool person. We chatted for a bit and I actually enjoyed her company. Joe on the other hand... he was really tough to talk to and gave me a lot of one word or two word answers. Now I know I am not a bouquet of flowers but dude just didn't seem to care. Alright, strike two dude. I don't know a lot about baseball but I'd tread lightly. Lindsey had to go after I said hi so the three pre game chatterboxes are off to an average start. One hit, one strike, and one walk.

As for the rest of my tribe I've gotten to talk to Andrea and Marty. Andrea seems pretty cool. We had a decent conversation about the joys of being the students. Marty on the other hand is someone I fell in bro-love with the second I talked to him. We had great talks about shorts vs. jeans, the walking dead, this season of survivor among other things. I really want to work with him and if I could get him on board with me it'll be a good start.

Of course this is all preliminary things. No official deals yet. Might talk to Marty about a deal tonight but probably not yet. Lets hope we can get off to a good start tomorrow.

Jeff, you gotta hold a "how to hold a conversation" class. ASAP.

I hate being the leader in a challenge like this, because it definitely can put a target on your back, but this group is so disorganized. Sonja and Chris were leaders at the beginning but now that there is only 4 of us it is a trainwreck.

The other tribe had 8 people on at the start so I think we are off to a bad start.

I made an alliance with Andrea, I'll talk more about that in my next long winded update.

I am not sure how you'd like me to respond to that. I could be nice or mean; I will go with nice. Don't want to piss off my first PW friend.

I am sorry. Hopefully I will do a worthy representation in your eyes.

So two hours until the challenge ends, everyone might as well leave. If we lose it is going to be an absolute mess.

This tribe is insane. Like this challenge was perfect for hosts or viewers. It made half of our tribe hate eachother. I feel like I am in the middle of it though so that is good. I'll try to post a full update soon.

So hopefully this isn't going to be famous last words down the road but I made a f2 with Andrea. Like a legitimate share everything final 2. This is kind of scary. In the past it usually works for me, but you never know. It makes the game so much easier to have someone you can bounce ideas off of and trust close to a hundred percent. Atleast for the near future I'll have her back and she'll have mine. As long as I feel she is being loyal to me, I will be the same. However if this changes I will not be afraid to make a move and take her out. My hope though is we can ride this to the end and be a TSG power couple.

So I made an alliance with her last night. Less official than Andrea, just a 'I really like you', 'You really like me' type deal. I felt pretty good about it. Sonja is cool and seems pretty active. However I will discuss later on why this deal is probably going to be moot.

So Marty and Andrea decided to make an alliance. Marty suggested including Lindsey and I which is really good. That will hopefully keep mine and Andrea's relationship under wraps but also allow us to both be in an alliance together. Both seemed down for it so that is really good.

There was an issue at the challenge between these three. Sonja kind of took control of the challenge and was being difficult to work with and getting upset with Joe for missing posts. Marty railed her pretty hard moments after I told him that me and Sonja were good in hopes of gaining his trust. Uh-oh for sure. I don't see this as a big issue for our alliance of four, but I am definitely going to have to cut Sonja earlier than I would have liked.

So we won the first challenge. It was a headache but we went head first and powered through. Everyone did pretty good. Malcolm was only on by himself but managed to hold his own for a couple crates. He definitely is the weakest link and at this point I think he'd be the first out over Sonja. However I think if he shows up for challenge 2, Sonja could be in trouble.

Apparently this is a thing now. Joe asked me for an alliance and I was like sure. Surprised but excited I was like we should include Marty. I let Marty know about this. However Joe told me the alliance is Chris and So and he and Chris both picked their favorites. Somehow I am Joe's favorite. I don't know how but I guess I'll take it. The issue is now I told Marty that and have to explain why he isn't in an alliance with Joe. So now I have this huge target on my back. I know Andrea will still have my back but I bet Marty is typing in his confessional about how he shouldn't trust me.

I keep getting added into these alliances. It is a mess and it is probably going to make me a huge threat come swap or merge.

Tyson I'm sure you knew that you were my number 1 too no matter what happened!! you were the only one I actually trusted and it was great getting to know you and running the huaiyu tribe together
