Hey everyone! Peih-Gee here, ready to address the jury at this Final Tribal Council and convince you that I'm the deserving winner of The Survivor Games: Jiangxi. Wow, what a journey this has been! First of all, I just have to thank John for all the work he's put into this game, I think we can all agree he did an amazing job. I definitely had to fight hard to earn my position here and was pushed to the limit by all the strong players sitting on the jury. I really had a blast from start to finish playing with you all and it made the experience worth it, I hope that you all feel the same way too.
I started off on the Wuyi tribe, and I was playing the game since the very first night. I worked to build strong connections with Brandon, Fabio and Corinne, together we formed a four person alliance. The day after, another alliance was formed with me, RC, Reynold and Sierra. Two different group chats, wanting me in their alliance! It was stressful and I had to stay a bit low key and keep my game under wraps at this point in the game, I didn't want to expose that I was in the swing position so early on the tribe, or both sides could lose trust in me.
I ended up making a one on one deal with Todd too, who I gathered wasn't included in any of the early alliances. I knew he'd be a valuable ally for me moving forward, when I was in a bit of a tough situation between the two four person alliances. The Erinn vote was obviously unanimous, the next round was between Corinne/Sierra and I was going to have to be forced to pick a side. I decided I was going to vote off Corinne, but she ended up quitting anyway, so I was still able to give both sides the impression that I was really with them, without them being suspicious of me.
Tribe swap time! I ended up on Huaiyu, my original tribemates were in a 5-3 minority, I definitely felt like my game could be over. Fortunately, I had a long conversation with Sonja and it was clear to me she was an outsider. She didn't like Joe and I knew if it came down to it, I could get her to vote for him. Joe/Chris came to me wanting to vote off Sonja, but I knew that I could easily be on their hit list right after her, so instead of going along with that plan, I told Sonja what they were plotting and secured her vote. I knew with Brandon's double vote, we'd have the numbers.
I also became close with Andrea/Marty during my time on Huaiyu and we built mutual trust together, so Joe was taken out 6-2, with Chris on the outs, who we easily eliminated next time around. Sonja then vanished out of nowhere, so was the easy vote off once we merged. By this time, the original Wuyi were of the mindset to stick together, Tyson was the first target just because we felt he was the biggest threat. I won immunity that round, and my Temple prize was to be able to give immunity to an ally at the next round. I chose to give it to Todd.
This is because I wanted to strengthen my relationship with him and build trust there, also because me/RC/Reynold was my main alliance at this point and we wanted to bring Todd in to make it a final four. I think that was a good strategic move by me to give Todd the immunity, cause that secured the four of us and we could control the next few votes. Marty/Malcolm were taken out in the double round, being the last two non-immune original Huaiyu, the Wuyi seven were in agreement, so the plan was set in stone.
Then the auction came at the final eight round and the game really took a turn. Andrea was the clear next target, but with the good fortune from the Temple being a mystery and the auction idol which had to be played that round, in addition to the regular idol being out there, me/RC/Reynold/Todd decided to put four votes on Brandon, without telling the others, which paid off because he gave his auction idol to Andrea, which would've otherwise sent Reynold out the door.
The final seven round was where I really feel I made the move that got me to the finals. Andrea was still the clear target, but now Fabio/Sierra were out of the loop too. Me/RC/Reynold/Todd had the majority, and I won the Lotus from the auction, which would make someone immune at tribal council, but unable to vote. There was too much risk involved with the regular idol still out there, so I planned to play the Lotus on Sierra so the four of us could split the votes on Andrea/Fabio, but Fabio won immunity.
RC told me that Reynold came to her, saying that he wanted an RC/Reynold/Sierra final three, so I knew that if Andrea left and Fabio won immunity next round, I could very easily be a target. Instead, I wanted to cut out Reynold's options and move me up a spot in his pecking order, so I blindsided him and voted off Sierra, along with RC, Todd and Andrea. I knew he'd still be on my side the next round, because Fabio/Andrea were still the outsiders by that point.
I played the Lotus on myself at the Final 6, making me immune and unable to vote, but the consensus was to vote off Andrea to prevent the last Huaiyu from getting too close to the finals. At the final five, I finally found the Hidden Immunity Idol! It had to be played that round, so it guaranteed myself final four. I knew that at the very least I'd get myself into the tiebreak challenge, because RC and I had an agreement that we wouldn't vote each other out. That worked out for me, when I was able to defeat Reynold in a tough fire making challenge to make it to the finals.
Hopefully that all wasn't too long, but I really wanted to give you all some insight into how I've played this game. I formed strong bonds from the very first night, all the way until the end. I won individual immunity challenges, I found an idol, I won a fire challenge! Every move I made was calculated, I did have to make some tough decisions and go back on my word from time to time, but I hope you can respect it was all in the nature of the game and what I felt I needed to do in order to advance myself.
I worked hard to stay in the loop every round, I always voted in the majority and knew how everyone else would be voting. I wanted to know everybody's plans so I could map out the best path for myself. I juggled multiple alliances and cut them off when I had to, big moves are required to win this game, I did that, I think overall I had the most well rounded game of the finalists. If I wanted to, I could've just floated by in this game and made it far, but I chose to play an aggressive strategic and social game to get to this point. I think that's an important quality of a Survivor winner.
I'm looking forward to your questions, I'll answer them to the best of my ability and hopefully show you that I'm deserving of your vote to win. Thank you!
