Final five! Andrea was taken out last round, the last of the original Huaiyu. I never would've thought that after Wuyi lost the first two immunity challenges, somebody from our tribe would win this game! I think the Andrea boot was a move that needed to be made, she'd been edging through these past few rounds and I didn't want to let her get any closer to the end, where she'd undoubtably get all the jury votes. I used my Lotus, meaning I was immune, yet couldn't cast a vote. Hopefully the fact that I technically didn't vote her out, makes her less upset with me than she is at the others.
I ended up finding the Hidden Immunity Idol. Finally! Fabio's good fortune from the Temple, definitely ended up helping me, because now we were all able to get four guesses each day. I was just guessing players who left the game on day thirty six, somehow "Sean Rector" ended up being the answer, and I've now got the most important prize in this game! The last time it can be used is this round, meaning I'm definitely going to play it and I'll be safe no matter what. I'm surprised it took this long to find the idol, the clue's been out since the merge, but it was worth the wait!
I definitely wanted Fabio to leave this round. I don't think his gameplay has been that impressive overall, he's almost floated by if anything. But this jury seems pretty bitter, I know because of that, he's a threat to take this game away from me. He wasn't part of the final five alliance with Tyson/Andrea which me/RC/Reynold betrayed, so they can't be upset with him. When Marty left, he voted for Fabio, so there's no bitterness there. He didn't vote Malcolm, Brandon or Sierra out either. I could definitely see them voting for him, because I have broken my word with most of those people.
Of course, he wins immunity. This sucks! I had a feeling that we should've taken out Fabio over Andrea last round, I did subtly hint that he's better at challenges and more likely to find the idol, but nobody seemed to listen. I'm almost certain Fabio would've been voted out unanimously without a second thought from any of us, now that he's immune, we have to turn on each other. We had an understanding that we'd go to the final four together for most of this merge, so this is definitely a tricky decision that none of us wanted to make this early.
Finding the idol was such a relief, I was worried that at final five, Fabio could idol me out if I wasn't immune, so was considering stray voting for either Todd/Reynold, to protect myself. Once I found the idol, I didn't have to worry about it anymore. I knew I'd be playing it on myself, and that was it. Even though I'd be immune from the idol, I wanted to win the immunity challenge too, to improve my case in front of the jury, should I make it to the end. Also, I'd probably play the idol on RC, to cement our trust, so she wouldn't turn on me at final four and I'd at least get a tie.
RC has been my closest ally for pretty much this entire game, I think I could beat her at the end, but I love her too! After Fabio won immunity, I knew my vote would be between Todd/Reynold. I'm pretty sure Todd has the impression that it's me/him/RC in the final three and Reynold has the impression that it's me/him/RC in the final three. Either way, someone's about to have that rug swept from underneath them! I decided that it's best for my game to take out Todd. He's in a similar spot to Fabio, in that he's played a clean game and has been pretty shielded from the jury bitterness.
Reynold's upset a lot of people, I'm pretty sure Brandon in particular wouldn't want to see him win. Plus Andrea might be annoyed that her attempt to idol him out didn't work out for her. He broke the final five deal that me/him/RC had with Tyson/Andrea as well, so it'd be more of a level playing field at the end. I think my best chance to win this game is against RC and Reynold. Ideally, Fabio would've left this round, and Todd the next, but due to Fabio's immunity, win, I have to switch that order. Hopefully Fabio won't win the next immunity, and I'm pretty confident he'll leave at final four.
Of course, a simple round would be too much to ask for at this stage. I told RC/Reynold I have the idol, but not Fabio/Todd. Reynold wanted to encourage Fabio/Todd to vote for me, so their votes would be negated with the idol, and me/him/RC will easily be able to take out Todd. I was okay with this, I figured, if they vote for me and I vote them out the next two rounds, they can hardly hold it against me if I make it to the end. Perfect! RC is saying now that she really likes Todd and doesn't want him to leave, she's considering telling him to vote Reynold and doing the same herself. I'm doing my best to talk her out of this.
I'm telling her that if Fabio/Todd make it to the final four with us, we lose the game. I just hope she listens. I don't want to be too pushy about it or threaten her, but I definitely need to talk some sense into her about this, because Todd really needs to leave. I might scare her by telling her that I'm considering playing the idol on Reynold, I doubt she'd throw her votes on him if she thought that was a possibility, I'd still play the idol on myself though. I might just tell Fabio that I have the idol, and tell him to vote Todd. That way, there's three solid votes on Todd and he goes out the door. Fingers crossed.
