Just wow, that last tribal council was an epic blindside to put it lightly. I put a lot of work into making sure it would go through without a hitch, and that Andrea or Brandon would take the fall, because I had a feeling that there was too much room for error to put all our votes onto Andrea, with the possibility of an idol out there. That's why Peih-Gee/RC/Reynold/Todd came together and switched our votes to Brandon, without telling anyone, even Andrea herself, so if she did play an idol, Brandon would go out instead. That's exactly what ended up happening! It couldn't have worked out better.
Fabio/Brandon lied about the items they won at the auction. Fabio won the double vote, Brandon won the Hidden Immunity Idol which had to be played at the next tribal council, but they told us the opposite, to try and pull a fast one over us. They planned to give the idol to Andrea, assumed we'd all be on board to vote her out, and she'd play the idol and take out Reynold, who Brandon told her to vote for. Then they'd act like they'd have no idea what happened. Yeah, right! They ended up looking stupid when Brandon walked out the door, cause he played the idol on Andrea instead of himself.
Idolling yourself out by playing an idol on someone else doesn't happen very often. Brandon was pissed afterwards, especially at RC/Reynold, and understandably so. I'd lost trust in those boys and have drifted away from them as time has gone by, I'm glad I trusted my instincts and have come together with some of the other original Wuyi members in a tighter, more genuine alliance, with RC/Reynold/Todd. Brandon went after Reynold, just cause he was unhappy that Reynold matched his bid at the auction, making it come down to a randomised draw.
When I spoke with Brandon the night before, he hinted that he didn't trust Reynold, so I figured he might be the target. Andrea was doing a pretty bad acting performance before the vote, pretending she was leaving. We just told her she was, we wanted to make sure she played any idol/item she might've gotten from the Temple. I bet she was just as surprised as anyone that Brandon walked out the door and not Reynold. I doubt she really cared, as long as she was safe. Unless I'm mistaken, Andrea/Brandon were not even that close, he was just trying to double cross Reynold.
The aftermath was pretty explosive, which we expected after such a big blindside. Sierra/Fabio were shocked and confused, I genuinely think Sierra didn't have any part in Brandon's plan, but Fabio is acting like he had no clue Brandon was giving up the idol like that, which is hilarious. I get he's trying to save his own skin at this point, but we're not stupid! Lying over your items is just really shady, if you want to be trusted, you should at least own up to your lies. Fabio's lucky he lied about having the one round HII anyway, cause otherwise it would've been him walking out the door.
Fabio pretty much feels at the bottom now, and he is. I told him I would've filled him in on the Brandon blindside, but I knew he was lying about his items. That wasn't true, but at least he can hardly blame me for lying to him, saying I was voting Andrea, when he was lying about his auction item in the first place. At least I was honest about that! The plan was for me to use my Lotus this round, so me/RC/Reynold/Todd would have the numbers to split the votes on Andrea/Fabio. Fabio ended up winning immunity, so then we just switched him out for Sierra.
Here's where it's all turned into a mess yet again. Reynold didn't want to put two votes on Andrea and two votes on Sierra. He wants to put three votes on Andrea and one vote on Sierra. He wants to make sure Andrea survives and Sierra leaves, that's because he wants to take her to the end. I know this, because RC came to me and said that he doesn't want me at the end because I'd win, that it should be him/RC/Sierra at the end. I think he feels that way after Brandon's comment after being blindsided, saying he'd destroy RC/Reynold at the end, and pretty much anyone could beat Sierra.
RC and I agreed that we'd fill Todd in on what's happening, to secure him with us even closer, so he trusts us more than Reynold. I think a tight three at this point in the game is pretty powerful, they're the only two I truly trust at this point will vote the way they say they will. Reynold did eventually end up agreeing to the split plan amongst the four of us, with me/him voting Andrea and RC/Todd voting Sierra, then we'd tell Andrea/Sierra to vote each other, and tell Fabio to vote for one of them. RC/Todd/me decided that I'd switch my vote to Sierra, instead of Andrea, without telling Reynold.
Hopefully this will send Sierra out of the game. I actually want her gone now, not Andrea. It makes sense for a number of reasons. Reynold wants to take Sierra to the end, he knows he'd beat her. He wants Andrea gone now, then probably Fabio after that, but I know I'll be next on his hit list. By taking Sierra out of the picture, he'll be forced into sticking by me at least a few more rounds. He knows we'd all lose to Andrea/Fabio at the end, it's not like him flipping to them to force a tie against me/RC/Todd is an option. Plus, I've decided to save the Lotus for that round, so we'll have the numbers anyway.
Andrea staying in the game an extra round really isn't a big deal. I don't want her at the end, I'll probably want her gone next round. But as long as there's such a jury threat around so close to the end, I don't have to worry about Reynold plotting against me. I think this move will set me up well to make the final four, there's always the chance of a blindside so I can never be completely confident, but I think if I can pull this off, the risk will be worth it. My only concern is if Andrea/Fabio/Reynold/Sierra team up and blindside one of me/RC/Todd in a 4-3 vote.
That or one of Andrea/Sierra plays an idol, and rather than them voting each other like we're trying to make them, they end up voting together, causing one of us to get blindsided with the help of the idol. I can guarantee if Andrea/Sierra have an idol, they'll play it this round. Andrea knows she's on the chopping block as the last original Huaiyu, Sierra is paranoid as fuck that RC is gunning for her, they had a fight at the challenge about targeting each other, plus Sierra was upset with RC blindsiding Brandon and mentioned she wants her out soon.
I'm worried too that I could be the victim of a blindside, just cause everyone knows I have the Lotus, it would make me an easy target, so they don't have to deal with it next round. I've decided I'm not going to play it, I'll save it for the Final 6 round, so me/RC/Todd will be able to avoid a potential tie with Andrea/Fabio/Reynold. If I go out this round without playing it, whatever! I could simply play it on myself this round, effectively making myself immune, but then my allies will be confused as hell and all the trust I've worked hard to build will go out the window.
I just hope this all goes according to plan and Sierra will leave. RC, Todd, Andrea and I are voting her, that's all we need. Andrea could be lying, but I'm just hoping she realises she's the other target and just goes along with it, grateful to be safe. Reynold/Sierra are voting Andrea, I'm not sure yet which one Fabio is voting. Depending on him, the vote should be 4-3 or 5-2 Sierra, with Andrea getting the minority votes. That's assuming they do what they promise, and I know that's not always a guarantee it'll happen. Either way, be prepared for another mess of a tribal council.
