I didn't get the chance to recap this round as happened, but it was too epic for me to not break it down! So now that I finally have some time, I'll get down to it before I write my next episode confessional. Pretty much, Marty and Malcolm left last round without a fuss. Malcolm seemingly threw in the towel, I guess he didn't have time for the game and had no interest in continuing. Otherwise there's a chance it would've been Sierra leaving, I know Andrea was upset that didn't happen. At my team's tribal council, Marty voted Fabio, the rest of us voted him.
Then, Andrea was the last original Huaiyu left. Eight have left in a row, it's clear she can't get to the end or else she'd have a fairytale story and all her friends on the jury. I'm not about to let that happen! Marty had no hard feelings towards Fabio though, cause he voted him, so that made me feel like he had to be taken out fairly soon as well. The alliance with Peih-Gee/RC/Reynold/Todd is seemingly secure, me giving immunity to Todd last round, through the temple, should've sealed the deal. I'm sure he thinks I'm just buttering him up, but whatever! He should be thankful.
RC's been talking about me and her taking Sierra to the end with us. So we'd get to Final 5 with Reynold/Todd, then pull in Sierra to vote out the boys and have a girl power final three! Sierra's been going off on players like Marty, plus she's pretty aggressive and not well spoken, if I can't beat her at the end, then I probably won't beat anyone. I'm not sure what my chance are like of winning, I feel RC and I are playing the same game, so need each other. Other than that, I'm going to have to backstab a lot of people to get to the end, so Sierra might be the best choice to complete the final three.
Sierra's been talking about the girls sticking together and continuing the trend of this series having female winners, so I'm subtly hinting that I want the same, to secure her on my side. She mentioned that Fabio/Brandon weren't pleased with RC, cause she mentioned in passing that they were trying to target Reynold/Sierra, but then when Sierra confronted them about it, they denied and and called her a liar. I pretty much know Fabio/Brandon are a pair, I was in their alliance back at the beginning, but they just don't go into much depth with our strategy talks, like I do with RC/Reynold.
The auction. Lol! Well, if this game was looking like it was heading for a boring finish with original Huaiyu getting picked off one after the other, this challenge sure gave the game a much needed shake up. RC, Sierra, Fabio, Brandon and I got the items. Andrea wasn't even able to be there, which was a relief, because she's the last of her tribe and she needs to go. I got a Lotus, which removes a player from tribal council, either being able to vote or receive votes. It needed to be used up until the Final 6, essentially I saw it as an immunity I could give to myself in the upcoming rounds.
But I think it was a pretty good prize either way. Sierra was given a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, RC was given a trip to the Temple, Brandon said he was given a double vote and Fabio said he was given a HII which had to be played this round, he said he'd use it on himself. Andrea did seem like the obvious vote, but we all became worried that Andrea could somehow end up with an idol and take out one of us. Brandon said we could take out Andrea or Reynold, because he was unhappy Reynold was prepared to go to a randomiser just to take Brandon's item away from him.
We still didn't know by this point what happened to Andrea in the Temple, either the good or the bad fortune that came with it, so there were too many possibilities of voting Andrea blowing up in our face, so me/RC/Reynold/Todd decided to switch our votes to Brandon, without telling anyone, leading them to believe that we're voting Andrea along with them. We made Andrea herself believe she was leaving, so she would use any sort of item that came in possession, on herself, and we could flush it. This ensured that Brandon/Andrea were leaving no matter what, and we'd be protected from an idol blindside.
Obviously we were lying to Andrea/Brandon, but we couldn't be honest with Sierra/Fabio either, in case they spilled the beans. We just wanted to come out of this vote intact, because we knew if this worked, we'd have a solid majority who built a lot of trust with all the work that went into this big move happening. It was a risk, but I knew it could pay off in a big way if it went through. In the end, it all worked out perfectly. Andrea did play an idol, she tried to blindside Reynold with it, but me/RC/Reynold/Todd voted for Brandon, sending him out of the game. <3
